... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
midnight MST tonight...

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 3 PM this
afternoon to midnight MST tonight.

Road conditions may quickly change late this afternoon and evening
as 2 to 3 inches of snow is expected from intense snow showers.
The snowfall will be intense for a short period and may only
accumulate over a 3 hour period. However... snowfall rates may
reach an inch an hour... causing roads to go from dry to wet to
snow covered in a short period of time. Drivers should be prepared
for rapidly changing conditions... especially over Bozeman Pass
along Interstate 90.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory can be issued for a variety of winter
weather conditions such as light snow... blowing snow... sleet...
freezing rain... and extreme wind chills.
