Current forecast
Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:42 PM EST on November 22, 2009
Through 6 PM...weak low pressure near the Florida Panhandle and northeast Gulf will continue to weaken and lift east-northeast this evening and overnight as upper air support races northeast into the Ohio Valley. Currently...a band of showers and isolated thunderstorms will move from the west Central Peninsula into Volusia and lake counties. This activity may also affect parts of Seminole... Orange and North Brevard counties through the late afternoon and early evening. Embedded isolated storms in this band may contain gusty winds and torrential downpours...especially across North Lake and north Volusia counties. Some of this activity will eventually push offshore from Flagler inlet to just north of the cape. Mariners will need to keep an eye to the west and seek safe Harbor if threatening weather approaches. Elsewhere...only a slight chance of showers will remain possible through early evening.
