A band of showers and thunderstorms continued moving onshore areas from the Pinellas and Pasco County coast and inland across Sumter and northern Polk counties. The band of showers and storms extended offshore 60 miles west of Tampa Bay. A few other thunderstorms were over Highlands County east of Sebring. Expect rough seas...strong gusty winds to 30 mph...and brief heavy downpours. Occasional lightning will occur in the strongest storms. The activity was moving east and northeast at 25 mph.
